Position Responsibilities\Requirements:

Are you the next member of our fabulous Integration team?

Join us to enjoy the challenge of learning the financial business in combination with creating advanced technical solutions using Scrum/Kanban as the development process. We are passionate about our work, but we also know that life balance is important and that a fun workplace breeds creativity and innovation.

Position responsibilities

This is a specialized and stimulating job for software engineers, who work with the Front Arena market integration team. By "market" we mean an electronic exchange, broker, ECN or information platform, such as Reuters RMDS. As a market integration developer, you have the overall responsibility for one or more markets. You will be working together with the other member of the Markets team.

The role includes development, maintenance and support of market integration components, primarily Arena Market Access Server (AMAS) for order routing, quoting, deal capture, instrument data upload and price information. You will also be involved with other Front Arena components to make the market integration complete. Equally important is building and maintaining relationships with market representatives. You must monitor and understand the functionality provided by the market as well as the technical and functional development plans for the market.

When the market announces new functionality or technology changes, you will make an initial impact analysis and plan for an upgrade of our market integration. You will alert our Product Management to take the analysis further, should the impact go beyond the current scope of the market integration.

Position Requirements:

You should hold a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent, with a clear ability and desire to work with all parts of software development, including specification, programming, documentation and testing.

Experience in building integration between software systems in general and any type of previous experience of electronic exchange systems or financial systems would be valuable but is not required. Basic understanding of financial products and derivatives is equally useful. All our markets integration are high-volume and real-time which makes those aspects important in most tasks of the programming and design that you will be involved in. Our integration architecture is object oriented and you should have good understanding and experience of such techniques. Experience from automating processes, code generation tools is a big plus.

You should be familiar with concepts and technologies like TCP/IP, XML, relational databases like SQL Server. Our main platform is Windows, but Sun Solaris is also used for some integrations. The programming language we use is mainly C++, but we also utilize XML and other soft mapping techniques.

Experience in agile development and project management is appreciated since it is an important part of our daily work.
